It’s almost the greatest time of the year! While your students are on their winter break vacation, your staff deserves to be on vacation, too. Before closing down for the holidays, your team’s daily to-do list will fill up quickly. Here are 4 ways to plan ahead so you and your staff can relax this winter break.
1. Publish Social Posts
Planning December and January’s social media posts in advance will ensure no one needs to log in to social accounts over the winter break and it won’t be put on the backburner upon returning in busy January. End of semester announcements, holiday greetings, new semester welcomes and January event reminders can all be Publish before closing down for winter break.
2. Print Materials
The winter break is a great time to restock on all print materials your admissions and development team will need in the spring semester. Contact your printer in early December to get on their schedule. Your print materials will be waiting in the office for you when you return!
3. Springtime Videoshoot
Springtime is a beautiful time on campus. The trees and grass turn green, the flowers bloom and the sun is shining down. It’s the best time of year to show off just how beautiful your campus is. Video is a highly engaging form of media that will make accepted students feel welcome and excited to join your school community. Contact a local photographer and/or videographer to schedule a springtime shoot. Spring is a busy time of year for photographers and videographers so the earlier this is done, the better!
4. Website Content Planning
Campus is busy during the spring semester. Community events, acceptance day, summer program announcements, curriculum prep for the next school year, and more. It often can be hard to stay on top of keeping your website up to date. Start drafting your new content within the backend of your website. When time comes, all you have to do is publish (or in some systems, even schedule in advance) the new content on the correct date.
